Champions youth soccer league rules and regulations

Registration

Registrations are closed for the the summer league.

The league will be managed by GotSport app: Registration and scheduling.

Age Groups

2017 (U8) 7v7

2016 (U9) 7v7

2015 (U10) 7v7

2014 (u11) 7v7

2012/13 (u13) 7v7

2010/11 (U15) 9V9

20108/09 (U17) 9V9

High School Girls 9V9

Fields

NO DOGS ALLOWED, this is a private facility, 

Three fields: The main has two, 2a & 2b. Field 3 is across the main field.  

Teams and spectators will share the end sideline. 

No one is allowed in the middle of the field except league staff.

When we play on field #3 all coaching staff will remain on one side and the spectators the other.  NO one is allowed to stand behind the goals.

Game Duration

Games start on time, the referee has every right to shorten the time if the game starts late because you were not ready with your team.

25 minutes per halve.  Clock starts 5 minutes after the scheduled game and 10 minutes later would be a forfeit. Five minutes break at half time for all games. 

Age Divisions

All players must play according to their age.  

Example:  A player who is 2012 may play up with the 2011 or 2010.   A 2012 player cannot play with a 2013 or younger team.    

Only girls can play down.

 Example:  A 2014 girl can play with 2015 and so on. 

Schedule

Teams will have at least 6 games in a season.  

All games will be scheduled Sundays. The league permits games to be played during the week as well.

In the event of a schedule request or a bye, two games may be scheduled the same day.

Champions Summer League starts the last week of June will try to play all the games by the first week of September.  Please make scheduling request in advance. The schedule will be posted on the club's website:  www.soccermi.com

Roster

Teams must turn in their team’s roster by the second game on the schedule.

Player's registration will be open until the team's last regular season game.

Players arriving after the game has started must be checked before playing.

During Games and Procedure

  • 25 half (2) in the summer
  • Substitutions are unlimited
  • Shin guards are mandatory.
  • The referee has the final decision on what to wear in case of protection for additional injuries. 
  • NO HEADERS for 2014 and under. 
  • A goal may not be scored directly from a kick-off or restarts.
  • Scoring procedure: 8 goals differential, your team may score more than 8 goals during a game but only 8 will be the difference.  
  • Players are not allowed to play for a different club or academy.
  • Players can only play for one club.

 

Tie-Breakers  

Two teams only, head to head results.

Three teams tie, the standings will determine the results.

Uniforms

Players’ jerseys should have a numbers and listed on the roster.

Teams are suggested to have two sets of uniforms. 

The home team will dark use dark colors. The away team will wear light color or vests. 

ID Procedures

State ID, MSYSA, Birth Certificate or Passport. 

Please make parents aware that only the coaches are allowed to request proof of age, not the parents and try to put stop to those parents who start making negative remarks towards any player.

Referees

 One referee per game, if in playoff team request more referees per game, an additional cost will be implemented.  Playoffs games are paid separately as well.

  

Discipling

All Red cards will be reviewed by the League and add additional fines and game suspension.

Games Terminated

Referees have full control of any game, weather, coaches and parents behavior. If a game is terminated due a team or spectator behavior, the offending team will forfeit the game and could be fined.

The referee and the league can terminate games due to weather or field conditions.

If a game is terminated after the first half has been completed, the score result of the game will be final.  

Games being terminated after the first half due to weather or any other situation by the referee or league, the score result of the game will be final.

If a game is terminated before the first half ends, the game will restarted from the beginning at 0-0 but if the game is abandoned due other actions by spectators, players or team officials, the score will stand, regardless of the time of the match. The team blamed for the incident will lose the game.
